Website Migration
Dear Customer,
We would like to thank you for your continuously hosting your websites with powerhoster.com but your server was bought in 2002 and the ensim version is out of dated. In order to keep your websites the fastest and more safely, we have moved your website to the newest server we just bought.
All your files ( except your email ) are now copied into your website in the new server, but we cannot backup your users' accounts and your email accounts.
In order to complete the website's migration, you must change your DNS to:

You can now preview your new website at:
http://NewHostname/~yourdomain.com/
Your ftp account info:
Your host name: newserverip( ftp.yourdomain.com if online)
Your ftp UserID: webmaster@yourdomain.com
your ftp password: Your_Password_registered_with_us
Your index.html file should be uploaded to:/var/www/html, and your perl scripts should be uploaded to:/var/www/cgi-bin/. ( When you lognin with ftp, you go to /home/webmaster folder, you have to go to upper level folder by click arrow ), please do not change any other folder.

Your Frontpage server extensions has not been enabled. If you have enabled your Frontpage, you cannot use rewrite modules and .htaccess files. FP only works when your domain parks our name servers. If you need, please email us to enable it:

Your full path will be changed to /var/www/html/ or /var/www/cgi-bin/
After you have changed your DNS, all your emails will go to your catch-all email account webmaster@yourdomain.com. So we suggest you to create your email accounts in your new website control panel before you change your DNS.
Your Email setting:
You can find your webbased email settings and url in your control panel.
Your mail server( both pop3 and smtp): mail.yourdomain.com
Your incoming email setting work as normal email setting.
tools > account > add mail > DisplayName( AS you like ) > Next > I already have an email address:( webmaster@yourdomain.com )> Next > My Incoming Mail server (POP3) > Incoming mail ( mail.yourdomain.com ) > Outgoing mail ( mail.yourdomain.com ) > Next > account name: webmaster@yourdomain.com > password: Your_Password_registered_with_us > Finish.
out going email: Ensim uses SMTP AUTH: selecting this is your mail server settings this will work for outlook and express "My server requires Authentication":
That option should be under Tools > Accounts > Mail > Properties > Server
After you have changed your DNS, you can still get into your old website's email account by clicking:
http://www.mail2web.com ----> advanced login ----> Server name Or IP address: old_server_ip
( http://www.mail2web.com is not owned by powerhoster.com or its related partners, it is a open email checking website )
You can still FTP login to your old website in your old server.
HOST: OldserverIP
Username: webmaster@yourdomain.com
password: Your_Old_password
Your website will not have any downtime before and after you change your DNS because both servers work smoothly. But we will quit the old server on Due day so change your DNS as soon as possible. Your old website will not be shown after ( Due Day - 30 days ).
You will lose all your files ( including email and other files ) in the old server after Due Date
You can consult your control panel when you have problems, and we also prepared a helpdesk website http://www.powerhoster.com/helpdesk/ If you want to login from our homepage, Username is: powerhoster, Password is powerhelp. It would be very appreciated if you can check your control panel and helpdesk before ask us questions.

Our upstream has strict limitation on spam. We have a ZERO Tolerance for SPAM and any domain found spamming will be TERMINATED from our servers immediately. All cases are thoroughly investigated, and at first complaint of spam the account will be put on hold until further law action. Bulk email sending is not allowed in our servers.
