If you want to view statistical information about your blogcast site, you can check General Statistics. The General Statistics tab lists reports that summarize information about the URLs that link to your blogcast site, the IP addresses that access it, and the types of browsers and operating systems that people are using to visit your site. The Podcast Statistics tab lists information about the number of podcast episodes you uploaded and their popularity ranking. For more information about Podcast Statistics, see About Podcast Statistics.
With Quick Blogcast, you can set general podcast settings. When you add a new podcast entry, you can select to use these settings instead of having to enter the information each time.
To Set Your General Podcast Settings
- From the Manage Feed menu, click Settings.
- Go to the Podcasts tab.
- In the General Podcast Settings area, enter your infomration in the following fields:
- Explicit
- In the Explicit select box, select Yes if your podcasts contain explicit content or No if they do not.
- Language
- In the Language select box, select the language of your podcast
- iTunes® Category
- In the iTunes Category select box, select the category the podcast episode falls under.
- iTunes Subtitle
- In this field, specify the title and subtitle for the name of your podcast episode.
- iTunes Summary/Channel Description
- In this field, enter a summary of the podcast or additional comments you want to include about it.
- Click OK .
To Set ID3 Tag Preferences
You can set the default settings for ID3 tags, which lists information about the file. For more information, see Setting and Editing ID3 Tags and Preferences.
- From the Manage Feed menu, click Settings.
- Go to the Podcasts tab.
- In the Default ID3 Settings area, enter your infomration in the following fields:
- Copyright
- In the field, specify the copyright information you want to use for each podcast episode.
- Podcaster
- In the field, specify the name of the person who created the podcast episode.
- Album Info
- In the field, specify information you want to include about the album.
- Composer
- In the field, specify the name of the composer.
- Browse
- To specify an image to use by default for your podcast episodes, click Browse, and then locate and open the file.
- Click OK.
