Note:Before you upgrade your WebSite Tonight 2.7 project to WebSite Tonight 4.0 or later, you must contact Customer Support.
You can upgrade your WebSite Tonight 2.7 project to WebSite Tonight 4.0 or later. When you upgrade, you import content from your current project. To get started, contact Customer Support about upgrading.
If you have a Web site that you created using the previous version of WebSite Tonight, you can create a blank project and then import content from your previous Web site into the new version. For more information on importing content or photo albums from another version of WebSite Tonight, see Importing Content from Previous Projects or Backup Files and Importing Photo Albums from Previous Projects or Backup Files.
To Upgrade Your WebSite Tonight Project
- After contacting Customer Support about upgrading your account, open your WebSite Tonight project.
The Getting Started window displays. - To upgrade your WebSite Tonight 2.7 project, click Design Web Site.
- In the Enter a default contact email address field , type the email address you want to use for the Web site. This is the email address that recieves email from any form you added to your Web site.
- In the Enter your company or individual name field, specify your company name or personal name.
- Click Next.
The Templates window displays. - If necessary, from the Category list, select a template category you want to use for your project template.
- Select the template you want to use, and then click Next.
NOTE: Some templates limit the number of navigation buttons that you can have on each page.
- From the Select a Color Theme area, select the color you want to use for your Web site.
Click Next.
TIP: Double-click the color block to view a larger image of the template with the selected color scheme.
- From the Create Pages window, select to Import pages from your 2.7 project or to Create new blank page.
- Click Finish.
If you imported your pages from a 2.7 project, WebSite Tonight imports the content. If you created a blank page, you can import content yourself. For more information about importing content, see Importing Content from Previous Projects or Backup Files.
