Setting Up WebSite Tonight for a .MOBI Domain




With WebSite Tonight, you can create a Web site that is specifically designed to display on mobile devices. With a .mobi domain, you can let visitors know that your site is properly formatted for smaller screens. Using WebSite Tonight to set up your Web site for a .mobi domain, you can ensure that your site is optimized for viewing on mobile devices. Setting up your site for viewing with a mobile device is quick and easy.

To Set Up a .MOBI Web Page

>NOTE: With .MOBI domains, you can only add mobile page layouts; you cannot add traditional page layouts.

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click WebSite Tonight Accounts.

    NOTE:If you want to use a free WebSite Tonight credit, you need to assign it to a domain. From the Free Product Offers section, select WebSite Tonight Accounts and then click Use Credit.From the drop-down list on the right, select the domain you want to use and click Continue. The account displays as a new account in the WebSite Tonight Account list.

  3. Click Setup Account next to the account you want to set up.
  4. Click Next to begin setting up your account.
  5. On the Account Setup page, enter your information in the following fields:

    Enter User Name
    The user name that you will use when logging in to your WebSite Tonight account.
    Password and Confirm New Password
    The password that you will use when logging in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Verify the domain you want to use for your site and click Next.
  8. Verify your account information and click Finish.
  9. Click Launch WebSite Tonight.
  10. To accept the terms of use, select Agree.
  11. On the Getting Started page, click Design Web Site.
  12. On the Web Site Information page, complete the following fields:

    Enter a default contact email address
    Forms submitted through your site are sent to your default contact email address
    Enter your company or individual name
    Your company or individual name is displayed in the footer of each Web page
    Favicon
    Click Browse to upload a favicon. A favicon (or favorites icon) is an icon that is associated with a particular Web page or site.
  13. In the What type of site do you want to build? area, select from the following:

    I want to create my Web site from scratch
    Allows you to design your site without any preset content added.
    Select a pre-built site
    WebSite Tonight now offers pre-built sites that allow you to select from a list of styles. Navigation buttons and page titles are automatically generated. Each page offers supporting text to guide you through building a powerful Web site. Select the type of site you want to build.
  14. In the Page Title column, you can keep the existing title, or delete it an add your own.
  15. If you are creating a Web site from scratch, you can change the page layout by clicking Change Layout.
  16. To add a page to your site, click Add Page.
  17. To continue, click Next.
  18. On the Template and color page, click the thumbnail that represents the template you want to use for your Web site. You can view additional templates by selecting from the Category list.
  19. In the Select Color area, select a color theme for your Web site.
  20. When you have selected the template and color theme you want to use for your site, click Finish.
  21. To publish your Web site, click Publish. To begin customizing your Web site and adding content, click Go To Page Designer.
