Creating Directories on Your Windows Hosting Account Using the Hosting Control Center, you can create, edit, and customize anonymous access permissions for directories and subdirectories on your Web site.To Create a Directory on Your Windows Hosting AccountLog in to your Account Manager. In the My Products section, select Hosting Account List. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Open. In the Content section of the Hosting Control Center, click the File Manager icon. To set up a new directory, click Create New Directory. Type a directory name. Click OK. To Create a Subdirectory on Your Windows Hosting AccountLog in to your Account Manager. In the My Products section, select Hosting Account List. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Open. In the Content section of the Hosting Control Center, click the File Manager icon. Click the directory name under which you want to create a subdirectory. To set up a new subdirectory under the selected directory, click Create New Directory. Type a directory name. Click OK. NOTE TO FRONTPAGE USERS: Microsoft FrontPage manages all directory and subdirectory permissions on your Web site. If you created custom directories on your Web site, or you are using another tool to build and or manage your Web site, switching to FrontPage may cause some difficulties. It overwrites all of your directory permissions and may make your site unusable. For example, if you have Value Applications installed and then install FrontPage Extensions, your Value Applications applications will likely not work. If you have FrontPage Extensions activated in your Hosting account, you will not have access to the Permissions feature in the File Manager section of the Hosting Control CenterFor additional information on IIS Settings, see Can You Explain the Different IIS Settings? more... http://www.powerhoster.com/domainhosting/modules/article/view.article.php/c7/1110
